Assignments
After failing my NCLEX exam on my first attempt, a friend introduced me to One on One NCLEX Tutoring. I had the opportunity to have a free consultation with Rhoda who I decided to work with after that consultation. Rhoda would give me a lot of assignments that included reading and practice questions. I was not able to do all of the one-week assignments because I had other NCLEX resources that I was using. I went to take my exam for the 2nd time, and I failed again. I reached out to Rhoda with a lot of frustration, and she assured me that we were in this together and encouraged me to try again. This time I stopped using all the other resources I was using and did what Rhoda asked me to do using the Saunders book. Rhoda encouraged me to do all the assignments before we met for the next session and would also encourage me to text her anytime I had a question. Because Rhoda saw how hard I was working and my determination to pass this exam, I was awarded a One On One NCLEX Tutoring Certificate and I was awarded two sessions one half price and the second one free. I passed my NCLEX exam on 3rd attempt because of One on One Tutoring.  If you are thinking of having a tutor, please don’t waste time, reach out to One on One NCLEX Tutoring, you will be successful on your NCLEX Exam.

Birthday present
Throughout my journey I was nonsuccessful at passing the NCLEX “THREE TIMES,” and each time I attempted, I felt more and more ashamed, very nonfulfilling or should I say very doubtful about my life and my next steps in life.

During my journey I had unitized several different NCLEX preps including Uworld, Remar, NCSBN, Archer, and Mark Klimek. I am not saying that they didn’t work each of them add something to my learning process some a little more than others.

I was lucky to find out about One on One NCLEX Tutoring from a wonderful friend I met in Ohio while attending Mark Klimek’s NCLEX Review in 2021.

During my initial consult I met with Mrs. Della, and I felt very excited about the process and learning the steps I would need to take to insure a successful pass on the NCLEX. I also had the pleasure of working with Rachel who helped me put it altogether.

Towards the end of study sessions, I was schedule to take the NCLEX on Dec 20th, 2022, but I was hit with a hard situation in life that we must all encounter that we have no control of. My Grandmother the matriarch of my family, the only surviving parent I had left since the passing of my parent at an early age, the one who had my back and did everything possible to make sure I would succeed in my Nursing career took ill and passed away leaving me to face things alone. After a few months or so I realized that my grandmother wanted nothing more but for me to succeed, not only that but I had come to far just to give up on myself. I ended up reaching out to my second tutor Rachel this is when I was really determined to reach my goal.

I really didn’t feel ready for Next gen NCLEX but with the help from Rachel, her helping me put everything together, how to dissect, and tips/tricks to understand how to approach New Gen questions I became more confident at answering NCLEX questions as well as New Gen questions.

I took my NCLEX on a Saturday the day before my birthday to make sure it would be my special birthday present to myself . . . lol I was scared to check because I wanted to continue to celebrate/enjoy my birthday. On the Monday Rachel reached out to me to find out if I had checked I told her I hadn’t and was scared she told me to STOP IT! So, I stop what I was doing, and I paid for the quick results there you have it I had PASSED NCLEX. That was truly a great Birthday gift to myself.

Asked questions
When I first started working with Rhoda I was skeptical that anyone could help me pass the NCLEX. I was pretty depressed and anxious. Before we began she took the time to listen about my experience with the NCLEX. She asked questions that I didn't expect such as:

"How did you feel during the exam?"

"What was your pace?"

"What did you do the day of and before the exam?"

These questions all made me feel like she was really trying to get to the root of why I wasn't successful so we could work on it together. She then explained her experience with the NCLEX and why she went into helping others be successful. This help establish a report that I never would've gotten with UWORLD, Nursing.com, or Kaplan. Shen then went on to explain how the NCLEX works and made me take a quiz to see what my learning style is to lay the ground work of how to study. I was not the best student because I let my inner saboteur get the best of me. However she never gave up on me no matter how many times I said I couldn't do it. She was also honest with me in terms of my test date. If she thought I wasn't ready she would tell me. That probably saved me money on extra testing (even though I had to pay her to keep going, lol). In the end it was all worth it. Her assignments are rough in terms of reading and doing questions but she doesn't tiptoe around what needs to get done in order to pass. If something isn't working then she works with you to see what does. She made herself accessible. I knew if I texted her I would get a response. Probably the most helpful thing was doing questions during our sessions and talking things outload in real-time to figure out how to get the answer. That was probably the most invaluable time I got out of my work with Rhoda. I'll always be grateful for Rhoda and hope other students are as well. Marco 8/11/2023

Ball of Nerves
I wasn’t sure what to expect going into the NCLEX. You are just a ball of nerves and the unknown is even scarier.  Rhoda and her team are amazing; they reach out to you with reminders and are there if you have questions or are simply stuck in a rut.  Without Rhoda and her team, I would still be in my old ways reading questions and not understanding the content.  Laura 1/2021

Confident

My experience with Rhoda was amazing. She pushed me in the areas I needed to be pushed in, and encouraged me on days that I struggled. I went from feeling that I would never pass the NCLEX, to feeling comfortable and confident. I owe a lot of my success to Rhoda! I would recommend Rhoda to anyone taking the NCLEX, 10/10! Thank you so much Rhoda, I really don’t think I could have done it without you!  Austin 9/2020

Rhoda provided me with great support and direction during this tough time preparing for the NCLEX. I could not have done it without her. The questions she provided well prepared me. I took the NCLEX with the minimum amount of questions and left feeling confident. Thank you

Carly 4/30/2020

Rhoda was very helpful in helping me overcome my testing anxiety.  She provided me with resources and support throughout our sessions. I was able to pass with 60 questions and went in confident. I could hear Rhoda’s voice in my head “Just breathe and relax you got this”. I would definitely recommend Rhoda as a tutor!

Always available

I have no words to give my gratitude to Ms. Rhoda, she helped me to believe in myself, she responded to any questions in a timely manner, she is always available for the student, highly ethical, and very professional.

Beyond Expectations

Rhoda did an amazing job at teaching me how to break down questions correctly and to understand what the questions were asking. She took time to schedule an extra session with me to explain electrolytes and gave me different resources that would help me. Rhoda goes above and beyond expectations to make sure you are progressing and that you are overcoming the things that are difficult for you. She cheers you on and encourages you to believe in yourself when you feel like you can’t. Rhoda helped me pass the NCLEX and would recommend her to anyone!

Mom of a student

I just wanted to say Thank You for taking Emma on as a client. She appreciated every tutoring session she had with you. She really liked the in-person tutoring. She had such a different experience taking the test the second time because of your services. I know she is not always easy but boy is she going to be a great nurse. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for working with her!!!! I appreciate what you did with her to get her ready for the NCLEX!!!!

Hello Guys!!!! The tutoring with Rhoda was so helpful this time around with taking the NCLEX  before. I took the NCLEX twice and failed. After my second time of failing I didn’t know what to do. I cried plenty of times because I studied every time but I was studying wrong apparently. My patient’s Mom provided me with Rhoda’s information for tutoring with One on One NCLEX Tutoring. This was my last shot before I had to go in front of the board if I didn’t pass. I gave tutoring a try and did what was asked with working a full time and part time job. It was difficult at times and by the time it was almost time for me to take the NCLEX I was exhausted mentally and physically and I didn’t want to study anymore. I knew I had to pass for myself. I was very transparent in the tutoring process. If I didn’t get things done I said it and added it onto the following weeks assignments. Passing the NCLEX after failing it can happen if you put in the work. When I took the NCLEX for the third time I had no stress or nervousness but afterward it all hit me. I was worried about if I didn’t study enough.  I appreciate the help Rhoda provided and I went from being a LPN to a RN

Simply at a Loss

After failing my first attempt at taking the NCLEX, I saw my perfectly laid out plans come to a screeching halt and crumble beneath my feet. I remember walking in to meet with Rhoda for the first time. I was on edge, discouraged, and simply at a loss of what my next steps should be. After our first meeting, I walked out of her office excited (sayyy whattt?!?). I was excited to have a plan and excited to have someone in my corner. It was not easy, quite frankly it was a hard process, but as Rhoda and I worked together I gained confidence in myself. I saw the ever illuminating light slowly grow at the end of the tunnel! Three months later I walked into my NCLEX calm and confident. I walked out feeling the same way."

Without Rhoda and her techniques, I did not think that I could have done this without her. She would find different strategies/methods to figure out what would work best for the individual. She would also break down questions in order for one to understand. Forever grateful.

Highly recommend

I am so thankful for Rhoda and One on One NCLEX tutoring! When I failed the NCLEX twice, I was determined that I would never pass. I had given up on myself. When I met with Rhoda not only did she give me the correct resources to learn how to take the NCLEX but she gave me back my confidence. I would highly recommend Rhoda and her team to anyone who is struggling with passing the NCLEX. I could not have done it without Rhoda I am an LPN!!!!!

I came to Mrs. Sommer about four months back seeking help with preparing for the NCLEX. She has been extremely helpful and resourceful helping me critique my understanding of NCLEX-style questions, as well as helping me design study plans on my weaker areas..... If you are in need of identifying areas you struggle in and need motivation, she is one of the best tutors you will find. The sessions are affordable, easy to schedule, and she never cuts a session short. You will get your money's worth while building the confidence you need to pass the test.   Zach Cox 1-9-2018

"I came to Rhoda feeling totally discouraged and defeated. I had taken the NCLEX several times and hadn’t been successful. Rhoda took the time to develop a study plan for me. She customized my study plan each week to help me improve my scores. Rhoda is a great educator on every level, especially on electrolytes. If you struggle in that area, you need her! All in all, Rhoda is your “secret weapon” to defeat the NCLEX!!!."  Jessica Oct 2018

My Rock

Rhoda was my rock. She listened to me when I needed someone to talk/cry/vent to. She would encourage me when I felt like giving up. She was the one who consistently told me week after week that I would become a nurse and I was NOT quiting now. She helped me deal with my anxiety about the test and my doubt about the future. She helped me believe in myself again. Without Rhoda I can truly say that I would not be where I am today if I had not met with her. She didn’t give up on me and because of her, I am a RN! I will forever be grateful for the time I spent with Rhoda. Hanna 2-12-2018

Feeling defeated

"Rhoda was just who I needed. I came to her feeling defeated but willing to do whatever it takes, and she did not disappoint. Thanks to Rhoda, my confidence level became ten times higher, not just with test taking, but higher self-confidence too. I walked into my test feeling more confident than before, and for once I wasn’t scared of the NCLEX. Rhoda is extremely helpful, and is flexible with making the study plan individualized for each student. I cannot thank her enough for everything she has done for me. I can FINALLY say that I’m an RN!"

Starting tutoring, I was frustrated and determined to figure out how to tackle this beast called NCLEX for the second time.  Throughout tutoring, I had moments of triumph and moments of defeat.  Rhoda was there from beginning to end guiding and pushing me to go farther than I ever thought I could go.  Beyond tutoring, Rhoda was there supporting me with difficult outside situations going on.  She sent me encouraging text messages throughout tutoring.  I wouldn’t be where I am today without the genuine love and support from Rhoda.  Thank you for helping me fulfill my childhood dreams of becoming a registered nurse.

I have known Rhoda since I was a baby. When she found out I wanted to be a Nurse she was always ready and willing to help me. I went through school to become a LPN. When I decided to become an RN, I sought out her help to study for the state boards. I studied with Rhoda for about 5 months before I took the state boards. During those five months, I got frustrated numerous times and had some pretty rough days and I wanted to give up. Rhoda was there for me every step of the way encouraging me to keep going. I kept studying until Rhoda told me she thought I was ready to take the test and no sooner. I wanted to know that she had confidence in me to pass the exam. I took the boards in March of this year, passing on the first try. I am extremely appreciative of the time and energy Rhoda spent to help me.

In the mail I received Anna's evaluation, she recently passed NCLEX and we celebrated with her. Here is what she had to say:"When I came to Rhoda my anxiety level for taking the NCLEX was through the roof. Rhoda worked with me to strengthen my knowledge base in areas I was weak and improve my confidence level. I took the NCLEX and passed in 75 questions. I couldn't have done it without Rhoda! "                                        Anna 1-1-2017

Rhoda was extremely helpful with my success in the nursing program. She could help me break down questions and understand material. Before I had Rhoda as a tutor, I was barely passing all my exams and the class as a whole. With Rhoda’s help I went from barely passing to receiving in an A in my last semester. I highly recommend her for anyone struggling in the program. She built my confidence and prepared me to be a nurse.                        Evan 2-8-2017

Natasha says That Mrs Sommer was great, she helped me build my confidence and I am grateful that I passed my NCLEX on the second attempt. 8-16-2017

Clare says Thank you Rhoda fo helping me to prepare and pass the NCLEX. I am so grateful to you. I think what helped me most was the variety of questions that were asked and I learned how to break down the questions and focus on what was being asked. You are very good at your job!

Refused to let me quit

I graduated two years prior to seeking out tutoring services.  I took my boards for the first time, three months after graduating, and failed.  This time around, I am so thankful I sought out One-on-One NCLEX Tutoring, and had Rhoda to walk me through the process!  It was not an easy 6 weeks, and there were lots of trials and tribulations, but throughout the process, Rhoda refused to let me quit.  She taught me how to dissect the questions, and I fully believe that is what helped me pass, in 78 questions! This has been such a great experience, and I am so thankful that I had such an amazing tutor to help me in achieving this goal!                 Alyssa 4-2-2017

Taking the NCLEX can extremely stressful and even scary at times. Rhoda worked with me over the course of a few months to make sure that I was ready to pass. She listened to my concerns and helped me when all I wanted to do was cry. Rhoda went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable with the types of questions asked on the NCLEX and made sure I was consistent in my work. I was able to pass with 75 questions thanks to her! I highly recommend using her as a tutor and good luck to all future nurses studying for the NCLEX!

A nursing student named Iris states "Rhoda is a very good teacher. She ask questions and listen to your response. She assesses your problem. She positive and encourages you to reach your goals"              1-12-2017

Stay focused

I give 100% to Rhoda- all across the board. I was desperate and lost hope when I was contacted by Rhoda on a site designed to help students find tutors. I responded to her message and met with her and immediately knew that she was the answer to my prayers. She helped me stay focused, gave me deadlines, homework, and helped me dissect things and concepts that had given me a headache since graduating. I took the boards 5 months before meeting Rhoda and was “invited back” to take them again. I was discouraged and knew that all my methods of studying had not worked for me the first time- so they would not work for me a second time. Rhoda had new ideas, new theories, and methods that worked. When they didn’t work- she found a detour to help me understand- and when I got my results- I knew that she had done it. She encouraged me and pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of. I thank you, Rhoda for your time and compassion. I will think of you- every time I put the RN behind my name- because without you, I don’t think I could have done it! Thank you for being a part of MY dream to become a nurse! J    Katie 1-22-17

Excellent Tutor

Rhoda was an excellent tutor. When preparing for the NCLEX-RN, she was extremely helpful and understanding. She was able to narrow down the topics I needed to focus and work on the most. She provided great sources for me to use through tutoring too. Also, she believed in me and gave me the extra confidence I need to pass the NCLEX-RN. Plus, she was great at sensing my anxiety and calming me down. I appreciate the hard work and time she put into working with me. Thank you for helping me pass the NCLEX-RN

Melanie  Whiteland Indiana

Erin just passed the NCLEX on 11-27. This is what she had to say about her experience.

Rhoda helped me to gain confidence when answering NCLEX style questions. She helped me to look for key words and not fall for the distractors. The program kept me focused and on track with studying each day up until my test I passed with 75 questions thanks to One on One NCLEX tutoring!

Victory!

Prior to taking the NCLEX, I was tutored by Mrs Sommer. With the material she used and our weekly sessions, I passed on the first time. I was completely prepared for this big exam and could tell while taking it I knew this stuff! I know I owe a big part of that victory to may amazing tutor. Thanks Mrs. Sommer!

Meeting with Rhoda has been amazing! I came to her 3 years removed from school and after failing the NCLEX 3 times. She was very patient with me and quickly recognized my strengths and weaknesses. During each session, we met one on one and went over each chapter assigned the previous week, along with sample questions. She was able to show me how to break down each question and use my knowledge to select the correct answer. I also suffer from test anxiety and Rhoda was able to teach me skills and techniques that helped me overcome my issues. Without Rhoda, it would have been exponentially more difficult to pass the NCLEX. I would recommend her to anyone that's having difficulty overcoming such a stressful exam!                     Michael

 Dedicated! to teaching foreign students!

Rhoda was a dedicated tutor who adapted to my needs as an international nurse. She was consistent, supportive, and thorough as well as a real pleasure to work with towards my goal of passing the NCLEX. I truly believe I could not have done it without her.
